Hi. I’m Imma and I am a sale addict.

Nag-shi-shine ako pag sale. I think it’s the kuripot kid in me na hindi magpapatalo. Through the years, natuto na kong makiramdam.

Today, we went to Trinoma and the BPI Summer Sale 2012 in MOA. We just left the car in SM North, walked to Trinoma and took the MRT to MOA. We were in Trinoma when we saw that some of the stuff in Shoe Salon were on sale, so pasok kami. Paglabas namin, we were a few thousand pesos poorer, but we were happier because of these:

I think most Shoe Salon outlets are on sale, so better check them out if you’re in to Fitflops. After months of using Fitflops (which I got from my ninang), I’m a changed woman! Walang kasing sarap sa paa ang Fitflops. The flower power pair would cost around P4500 to P5000 kung hindi sale. I got it for P3500++. Matagal-tagal ko ring inasam-asam ‘tong pair na ‘to. I would always touch it pag nakikita ko ‘to sa tindahan. Promise. My sister got the bejeweled pair that I also like. Wheeee!

Fly naman kami to MOA after our Fitflops moment for the BPI summer sale. BPI cardholders can go to the sale without paying the P50 entrance fee. I was sort of excited for this one because there were a lot of brands included in the ad. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that there were few booths set up. So one booth would carry a lot of brands diba? Kaya masyadong maraming nakapost. I think they did that para makahila ng tao. Oh well, keri naman, we had a really good haul.

Exhibit A: Apple Magic Mouse, P1500. The only thing missing from this one is the box, pero complete naman at working. With warranty pa from the Power Mac Store. We don’t really need this, we have a white MacBook and a MacBook Pro, so the trackpads are more than enough. But it was so prettttyyyyyyyyyyyy at murang mura na sya, so case closed.

Exhibit B: Agent 18 Flower Vest iPod Touch cases, P250 and P350 each. The blue one is for the 2nd generation iPod Touch and the violet one is for the newest iPod. I am loyal to Belkin for my iPod Touch cases, kaya lang di ko feel yung mga naka-sale kanina. Tsaka matching ‘tong dalawa o!! Cute diba. I was looking for a leather case sana for the 4th generation iPod Touch, kaso wala. Next time!

Exhibit C: iUFO iPhone/iPod dock, P1100. ITO SUPER KADUPER NAKAKAKILIG! Matagal ko ng target ang iPod dock, kaya lang it’s too expensive for me. You know, small budget kasi kuripot. So this one was really a “KABOOM FOUND YOU!” item for P1100. It’s an old model, I guess, pero hindi naman ako maarte, gusto ko lang talaga ng iPod dock. It also charges the iPod, so super plus! Wheeee.

Exhibit D: Griffin Outfit Flip iPod Touch case, P350. The real case is not in the box, actually hahaha. This is a hard case for my iPod and it changes colors!! May konting hint ng glitters, so it’s perfect. I need shiny, glittery things to feel complete. And cake. Hihi.

Exhibit E: Ozaki iPad Sleeve, P200. Wala pa kong iPad pero this is too nice. And I might use the sleeve as my planner’s case.Exhibit F: Plains and Prints blouses! Everything is at 50% off so me and my sister bought blouses for Mama and for our aunt. Uniform! I buy blouses in Plains & Prints pag sale, kasi half the price eh.

Exhibit G: Philips Radio Alarm Clock, P620. I really just want a tiny radio in my room, para hindi na cell phone ang gamit ko every morning when I listen to the Morning Rush. Plus points na may alarm din sya. Sana lang di ko ‘to maihagis once it starts to beep, sayang din eh.

And now I feel so poor. Chos.

King of the Opera

If you’re a Morning Rush listener (RX 93.1, 6-10AM daily) you’ve probably heard of King of the Opera. They use the game’s background music as their bed when the entries to the top ten are being read.

Image

The context of the game seems simple: there are four tenors with huge bellies and they all want to be in the spotlight. They just turn around, non-stop, and the player has to direct where the tenor will go by touching the arrow. In this screen shot, I’m playing as the tenor in the green vest. (Is that really a vest? Whatever. Hahaha.)Image

When the tenor gets pushed off the stage, he’ll be brought back to the stage. But of course, you don’t want that to happen. These tenors are really divas who forgot about their tummy tuck treatments and they’re all about being in the spotlight! Pa-bida sila syempre. They all want to be the stars. Chos.Image

Looks easy, right?

WELL MAHIRAP SYA!! I haven’t tried playing this in the iPad though, maybe it would be easier? Or maybe it’d be more fun to see in real life!! Hahahaha. Diba. Four tenors na nagtutulakan at umiikot. Wheeee!

To cut corners, I got myself a…

…new toy!!

Wheeee! I got myself (again) one of those printers that you’d see in internet cafes. I don’t really consider this one as a legit move so I’d be closer to my dream business, which is an artsy-fartsy print shop. Dream nga eh, edi dapat highest level diba. Anyway, I spend a lot on inks so I figured, might as well buy this type of printer. The warranty for the unit is void already though, kasi kakahuyin ng technician yan to have the CIS (continuous ink system) installed. I’m also not after really gorgeous prints kasi puro documents lang naman ang ipiprint ko mostly–worksheets, handouts and the like. I’ll be working with my own program/flow of lessons this summer at masarap gumawa ng worksheets pag maraming ink! (I’m so sorry my dear students, but you’ll thank me one day for this. Tough love, baby.)

I’m thinking about putting a sign outside our house that says, “PRINTING STARTS AT P3.00 PER PAGE.” Oha oha. If I can print 100 pages at P3 each, bawi ko na yung P3000 na ginastos ko for my toy.

Oh well. Moolah, moolah, where are you? I promise I won’t let you go that easily next time.

It’s so nice to see you again.

The long wait is over. It’s back.

20120226-232957.jpg

Naks parang bongga, wifi connection lang pala. After two months, our internet connection can actually connect–finally. It’s still not that stable though and the speed could be really, really pathetic at times, but hey, at least it’s now working with our Belkin router. Yes, I have to say that we have a Belkin router because BayanTel thought that we have one of those cheapo routers na pwede nilang laitin. They tried actually, kaso may in-you-face moment when their technicians slowly read B-e-l-k-i-n on the body of our router. In yah face man, in yah face. BEH.

BTW I still had to pay for the two months of hassle that BayanTel provided us with. Akalain mo yun, ikaw ba naabala, ikaw pa magbabayad. What can we do? It’s their system and what they really care for is the money. (I told the super supervisor that. Hahaha. If felt so darn good.) Wala na raw way to adjust the billing, so okay, bongga bitch na ko. Nagsayang ako ng pera, I need to tell them how ridiculous their system is. Nakakuha naman ako ng moment ko. Wheeee. I shall kebs all this though–karma is a bigger bitch than me, sya na siguro bahala sa BayanTel.

VDay is Phone Day!

There are those who like to spend gazillions of money for food on Valentine’s Day.

And there are those who are happy with Iceberg’s sulit meals:

There are those people who spend a lot for flowers on Valentine’s Day.

And then there are those people who get new phones on Valentine’s Day.

If I can only share what happened before we got our phones without giving away ourselves too much, ikekwento ko. Diba? Diba?

We finally gave in and bought new phones. I got the E6 and Dremon got the Lumia 800. I’m suuuuperrrrr happy with my phone. Wheeee. Kahit na gusto ko yung features ng phone ni Dremon, dahil sooobrang cool ng Lumia 800, I need a phone with a physical keyboard. I’ve been using a QWERTY phone for more than six years kasi and it’s so convenient for my fat man hands. Hindi ko rin masyadong habol ang Android phone because I’ve got the iPod Touch. Keri na yun.

The E6 is a business phone actually and it’s in the touch and type series too. It’s soooo convenient and fun to use. A good review (at least for me) for this phone can be read here.

As for the Lumia 800, I love it! Ang fun fun nyang tingnan. Kakalikutin ko nga next time yun. Heehee. It also has a reaaaaalllllyyyy good camera. As in really good.

I hope Valentine’s Day turned out to be a good day for most people. It shouldn’t be about flowers, chocolates and kisses entirely. I mean, pwede namang araw-arawin ang flowers, chocolates and kisses dibaaaa. Why choose one day when it can be everyday? Hihi.

Shuffle Trouble

I’ve come to love ironing clothes. I started doing this little chore when I was in third year high school, kasi I needed a way to practice walking in heels. Naka-heels at make up pa rin ako pag namamalantsa. I find ironing clothes on a Sunday night really, really relaxing.

So tonight, while I was busy with this:

and while I was enjoying the light of my life:

Bigla ba namang naging bastos yung iPod at ito ang pinili as first song when I put it on shuffle mode:

So instead na zen ako, instant emo ang peg habang nagpaplantsa. Minsan naiisip ko, sinadya ng Apple engineers na sadyang mapang-asar yung iPod pag naka-shuffle mode eh. Shuffle mode is like “I know what’s really going in your mind, so I’m going to play this song for you to realize that you can not run away from your thoughts.”

Puro buntong-hininga tuloy napala ko habang nagpaplantsa. Should I still thank Jason Mraz for reading my diary? Chos.

Kiel the iPod turns a year old today!

My iPod Touch turns a year old today!!

Yes, I name my gadgets, please don’t judge me. Buti na lang walang bagong iPod Touch this year, kasi halos every year na lang bumibili ako. Yan medyo matagal pa kaming magsasama ni Kiel. I stayed up until the wee hours of the morning when the iOS5 was released so I can update Kiel agad. Chos.

Because of my iPod Touch, wala na kong excuse para takbuhan ang trabaho. At pag petiks naman with work, nakakapaglaro ako ng hindi napapansin. Hihihihi. Love, period.

While waiting for iOS5 download

While waiting for the iOS5 update, na-realize ko na dapat maging productive naman ako. So I painted my nails!! Grabe I feel like I’m 16.

Yay! I did something productive! Hahaha.

♥ Dyosaimma

Thank you, BayanDSL. Thank you.

Steve Jobs (1955-2011)

I was in high school when the first iPod came out. I was in college when I bought my first iPod and I could still remember the thrill of using the click wheel for the first time. In a way, Steve Jobs pushed me to work harder, so I’d have enough money to buy iPods and MacBooks. I sort of got the hang of working really hard and eventually, it became a normal thing for me for I realized that it’s not so bad to push yourself hard sometimes. The drive to buy mean machines and music players made me realize that I could do more, if I wanted to. Thank you, Mr. Jobs. Thank you.
